About Us
Hi, and welcome to Techostudy.
My name is Umair Bashir, and I’m the person behind everything you read here. I’ve been working with phones and technology since 2018 — at first just as the guy in my circle who friends and family handed their devices to whenever something stopped working. Over the years that turned into a real habit of figuring out why things go wrong and how to actually fix them.
I’m based in Pakistan, and most of what I write comes from situations I’ve run into myself: a phone that suddenly started charging slowly, storage that filled up out of nowhere, a WhatsApp setting I had to dig through menus to get right. When I couldn’t find a clear answer online — or found articles that were either too technical or just plain wrong — I’d work it out on my own and take notes. Techostudy grew out of those notes.
What this site is about
Techostudy focuses on three things I work with almost every day:
- Tech tips — practical fixes and plain-English explanations for common phone and tech problems.
- WhatsApp guides — features, settings, backups, privacy, and the small tricks that make a real difference.
- Mobile settings — the menus most people never open, and how to use them to get more out of your Android phone.
How I write
Every guide on this site is something I’ve actually tried on a real device before publishing. If I show you a setting, it’s because I’ve tapped through it myself — that’s why you’ll see real screenshots instead of stock images. I’d rather write one article that fully solves your problem than ten that leave you guessing halfway through.
I’m not a big company or a faceless content farm. It’s just me, writing about things I know and use, and doing my best to keep everything clear, honest, and genuinely helpful.
If something here helped you, that’s the whole point. And if you ever spot a mistake or have a question, I’d like to hear about it — you can always reach me through the Contact page.
Thanks for stopping by.
